Plant & Shop Helper

Job Type Full-timeDescriptionThe Plant & Shop Helper plays a vital role in daily operations within the plant environment. This position involves assisting with production, material handling, and general labor tasks. Additionally, basic welding may be required. Candidates for this role must be reliable, safety-conscious, and prepared to work both indoors and outdoors year-round , regardless of varying weather conditions. Requirements Assist with plant and shop production tasks, including loading/unloading materials and supporting machine operatorsPerform general shop duties such as cutting, prepping, fitting, and assembling materialsComplete basic welding tasks (tack welds, small repairs, simple fabrication) as assignedMaintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in the plant and shopSupport inventory tracking, restocking, and material preparation for production runsMove, lift, and stage materials using hand tools or equipment (forklift or pallet jack if certified)Assist with routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning equipment and organizing materials Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all timesWork outdoors year-round as required to support plant operationsPerform additional duties as assignedSkills & QualificationsExperience in a plant, shop, or industrial environment preferred.Forklift Experience / Loader preferredMinimum 1 year of welding experience (MIG, stick, or other applicable processes).Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions Ability to read basic measurements and use hand/power tools.Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting and standing for extended periods.Strong teamwork, communication, and willingness to learn new tasks.Commitment to following all safety rules and procedures.Benefits: Eligible employees receive a competitive total compensation package, including medical, dental, vision, voluntary life insurance, and short-term disability coverage.
