Summary Automomously runs and manages the material lab. This includes understanding how to operate, repair, and analyze the results from tests on the following pieces of equipment and processes: scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive X-ray microscopy, optical microscopy, hardness tester, precision scales, rough saw, precisions saw, dye penetrant, potting, polishing, chemical etching, and tensile testing. Must be able to communicate effectively with outside groups and management to set timelines, priorities, expectations, and provide clear and thorough results. Must understand ISO and ASTM material testing standards. Must have a patient, methodical, and meticulous work ethic when preparing samples, analyzing results, operating and repairing machines, and using corrosive chemicals. Job Description Experience Level with Business Tools * Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. * Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.
