We are hiring a1st shift Refrigeration and Utilities Supervisorat our frozen pizza manufacturing facility inSalina, KS . This position is responsible for supervising the production, packaging, bakery, and processing of tasty food products. This position is responsible for leading, directing and coordinating the refrigeration department to optimize performance with regard to safety, productivity and quality. This position is also responsible for supporting compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Plan (RMP). Responsibilities Supervise technical maintenance activities, trouble shooting and the repair of wastewater, fire systems, plumbing, HVAC, Air Compressors, Boilers, and other utilities equipmentDirect the maintenance and preventive maintenance building maintenance needs. Responsible for the food safety, sanitation, quality and security of the products produced. Supervise and manage the site’s wastewater treatment plant and staff.Contact and coordinate external service agencies as appropriate to schedule refrigeration repair work and ensure timely and effective work order completion. Develop and perform inspections, testing and preventative maintenance as required by site Inspection Testing Preventative Maintenance (ITPM) program.Perform daily chemical testing and logging all test results, making adjustments required to maintain utility systems within established terface with state and federal government agencies as required.Confer with operators and observe, test, and evaluate operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose cause formal functions.Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make ply with Environmental, Health, and Safety Programs to ensure protection of employees and property.Supervise, train, and develop subordinates. This position will have up to 12 direct reports with potential for future salary reports and promotionResponsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a manner consistent with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conduct. Preferred Qualifications Education : High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelors degree preferred. Years of Related Experience: 3+ years related experience; Ammonia Refrigeration experience required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities : Must have knowledge and skills in the technologies of, electrical systems, electronic systems, mechanical systems, boilers, HVAC, hydraulics, and air systems, fire systems, waste water treatment, and computerized maintenance management systems (i.e. SAP, Maximo, etc.).
