Electrical DesignerLocation: Saint Petersburg, FloridaA fast-growing design & build contractor is seeking an Associate Electrical Designer to join its engineering team.This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their design career to work on large-scale projects, gaining hands-on experience across electrical and mechanical systems within a highly collaborative environment.You will play a key role in supporting the design and modelling of building systems, working alongside experienced engineers and Revit technicians to deliver high-quality, coordinated solutions.Key Responsibilities:Support the design of electrical and mechanical systems across large-scale construction projectsCoordinate design solutions, balancing technical quality, client needs, and budget requirementsWork closely with Revit/CADD technicians to develop and review models for accuracy and constructabilityApply code knowledge to lighting, power, telecom, and fire alarm systemsPerform photometric studies, short circuit analysis, and voltage drop calculationsAssist in reviewing drawings, submittals, and specificationsCollaborate with wider engineering teams to ensure consistent, high-quality outputsRequirements:Some experience in electrical and/or mechanical design (internship or professional)Basic knowledge of Revit/CADD systemsUnderstanding of electrical codes such as NEC, IBC, IECC, and ASHRAEAbility to perform or learn electrical system calculations and photometric analysisStrong communication skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering preferred, but not essentialWhat's on Offer:Opportunity to work on large, complex projects with experienced engineering teamsStructured training and development within a growing organisationClear progression pathway into more senior design rolesCollaborative, fast-paced environment focused on innovation and qualityCompetitive salary, bonus, and full benefits packageIf you're looking to build a career in electrical design within a forward-thinking and high-growth environment, this is a strong opportunity to develop your skills and progress quickly.
