LAB Technician IIMaplewood MN 55144Duration: 12+ MonthsPay rate: $22 - 23/Hr.Job description: The team is open for recent grads.Consumer Products CW Lab Technician - Lab Tech IWe are currently seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician to join our Home Improvement Consumer Products Lab Team. As a Lab Tech, you will play a critical role in conducting tests and experiments to ensure the quality and safety of our consumer products. This is a full-time, in-person position.This is a highly active role that requires a strong work ethic and the ability to keep up with a fast-paced environment. The worker will perform physical and/or mechanical analyses and tests required for research, development, or quality control of processes and products.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare materials and organize setups for product testingAssist in laboratory experiments through testing and evaluation of new materials and products based on researchPerform mechanical performance tests for research, development, or quality control purposesConduct visual observations and testing on competitor product samples and communicate results to appropriate stakeholdersPerform hands-on testing using multiple pieces of laboratory equipmentMove, arrange, sort, and hang product testing weights (2 lbs - 20 lbs)Basic QualificationsHigh school diplomaAbility to work 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday through FridayAbility to lift and carry at least 25 poundsAbility to lift and carry 5-pound weights at high repetitionsAbility to use a ladder or step stool to work from elevated surfacesProficient hand-eye coordination and strong manual dexterityPreferred Qualifications:Strong organizational skills; self-motivated and results-drivenSolid interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to adapt to team needs and work with multiple individuals and groupsPrior laboratory or manufacturing experienceExperience using Microsoft Excel and WordProven ability to problem-solve and implement solutionsAbility to follow verbal and written instructions and complete tasks with little to no supervisionTop Must-Haves:Team-oriented individual with strong physical mobility and dexterityGood observation skills and excellent communicationAbility to adapt and adjust to the team's needsBenefits:Russell Tobin offers eligible employee's comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), a 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, identity theft protection, legal support, auto and home insurance, pet insurance, and employee discounts with some preferred vendors.
