Staff Environmental Professional

Geo-Logic Associates (GLA) is a privately-held, multidisciplinary, geologic, geotechnical, hydrogeologic, civil, and environmental consulting firm. Our highly experienced professionals manage projects through 30 US office locations and an office in Peru. GLA is currently seeking a part-time or full-time Staff Environmental Professional to provide support for environmental due diligence, site characterization, and environmental remediation projects.Office Location: St. Charles, IllinoisIdeally, the applicant will have a well-rounded background in the earth sciences and geology and will be able to work collaboratively with GLA professionals across all offices and disciplines. Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinating and performing field investigation programs that frequently include management of subsurface exploration subcontractors, soil sample collection, borehole logging, monitoring well installation, groundwater sampling, aquifer testing, and subsurface characterization.Conducting field and report preparation activities relating to Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments,Routinely working with state regulatory oversight agencies across the countryAssisting in the preparation of proposals,Ability to read and understand schematics, diagrams, site plans, and aerial maps, andEstablishing and maintaining effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, clients and employees.Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related fieldMaster's Degree in relevant field preferred, but not mandatoryMinimum of 5 years of experience is desiredKnowledge of IEPA Site Remediation Program and Leaking Underground Storage Tank programsExcellent oral and written communication skillsComfort speaking with clients and regulators, and possession of strong presentation skillsAbility to work in a team environmentSelf-starter and problem solverCandidate Must:Be eligible to work in the United StatesPossess a valid driver's license and maintain a driving record acceptable to our insurerGLA offers a comprehensive benefits package including health/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, flexible spending accounts, vacation leave, sick leave and profit sharing.Click "Apply" below to submit your cover letter, resume and application.
