The Mortgage Loan Underwriter will be responsible for evaluating loan applications in accordance with company policies and regulatory guidelines, analyzing the creditworthiness of borrowers, and ensuring compliance with underwriting standards. Day-to-day tasks include assessing financial documents, communicating lending decisions with relevant parties, and working closely with the loan processing team to complete transactions efficiently and accurately.Qualifications0-3 years of experienceProficiency in mortgage industry practices, including mortgages and mortgage underwritingStrong underwriting skills with a focus on compliance and accuracyStrong analytical skills for evaluating financial data and decision-makingStrong attention to detail and familiarity with regulatory guidelinesExperience with financial and lending software systems is preferredAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required, including data analysis, formulas, and financial modelingBachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, or a related field requiredStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to successfully complete a background check and drug screeningCompensation & BenefitsSalary range: $42,000 - $51,000 per yearFull suite of benefits offered
