Buyer & Planner Agent II Vantage Sacramento is seeking a motivated Buyer & Planner Agent II responsible for the effective management of assigned commodities to achieve on-time delivery, revenue, and inventory goals. This role will actively engage with team members from Operations, Quality, Engineering, Accounts Payable, Strategic Sourcing, and Suppliers to develop strong working relationships and resolve issues in a timely manner. In addition, this position plays a critical role in developing and maintaining effective material plans, purchasing activities, and production job scheduling. The Buyer & Planner Agent II ensures alignment between demand forecasts, production capacity, and material availability through proactive Sales & Operations Planning (SIOP) and supplier coordination. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and highly collaborativedriving on-time delivery, inventory optimization, and operational excellence across the business. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience), 24 years of experience in purchasing, planning, or supply chain roles within a manufacturing environment, strong understanding of MRP systems, ERP software, and inventory control principles, and excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. Preferred skills include experience in elevator or industrial manufacturing, APICS or similar supply chain certification, proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools, and the ability to analyze data, solve problems, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Duties and responsibilities include sourcing and purchasing materials, components, and services in alignment with production needs and company standards, negotiating pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers, evaluating supplier performance, developing and maintaining material requirement plans, collaborating with production, engineering, and quality teams, monitoring inventory levels, maintaining optimal inventory levels, coordinating with warehouse and receiving teams, and working closely with internal stakeholders.
