Nurse Practitioner - PsychiatryRutland, Vermont Recruiter Quick Facts Position Type: Permanent Schedule: Full-time Specialty: Psychiatry / Mental Health Patient Population: Adults with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders Treatment Focus: Psychiatric care and Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) Schedule & Availability Full-time position On-call coverage required Participation in required meetings, trainings, and safety drills Clinical Responsibilities Conduct psychiatric assessments and re-evaluations Develop individualized treatment plans Provide psychiatric medication evaluation and management Prescribe and manage MAT medications with ongoing monitoring Coordinate care with primary care providers and interdisciplinary teams Serve in a leadership role on the treatment team Communicate treatment plan updates and service needs to staff Maintain timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record Ensure compliance with agency policies and clinical protocols Licensure, Certification & Education (Required) Master's Degree in Nursing Nurse Practitioner certification Psychiatric certification or actively working toward certification Unrestricted Vermont APRN license (or ability to obtain upon hire) Required Experience & Skills Experience providing psychiatric care and MAT Experience treating adults with: Severe and persistent mental illness Substance use disorders Developmental disabilities and/or complex medical conditions Current knowledge of psychiatric medications EMR proficiency Strong clinical judgment, compassion, and communication skills Additional Requirements Valid driver's license Reliable transportation with Vermont-required insurance coverage Successful criminal background check upon hire Compliance with agency policies, code of conduct, and ethics standards Compensation & Benefits Salary: $160,000-$165,000 (based on experience) Comprehensive benefits package including: Health, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) with employer matching Paid time off Flexible schedule Tuition reimbursement and professional development Retirement plan and career training opportunities Collaborative and engaging team meetings with supervision.
