Production Operator

Job Description We are seeking a Production Operator to join our operations team at the Purina facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in machine operation, material handling, and process monitoring and a proven ability to follow standard work, make minor machine adjustments, and accurately record production data. Schedule & Work Details: Standard schedule: Monday-Wednesday, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM. Occasional Thursday and Friday as needed for overtime. Onsite interview required. Responsibilities: Operate repetitive machinery and processes following prescribed routines and standard operating procedures. Perform basic adjustments to processes or machinery to maintain quality and throughput. Record and report production numbers with accuracy and timeliness. Safely operate equipment such as packers, palletizers, forklifts, mixers, and extrusion lines. Maintain housekeeping standards and comply with all safety guidelines. Work in confined spaces and at heights over 8 feet when required, following safety procedures. Required Skills & Qualifications: Ability to follow oral and written instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Effective communication in one-on-one and group settings. Ability to understand, record, and verbalize detailed information accurately. Strong attention to detail, punctuality, and flexibility. Basic math skills and solid interpersonal skills. Knowledge and compliance with all safety guidelines, including respirator use when required. High school diploma or equivalent. Steel-toed shoes required. Preferred Skills: Experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing environment. Experience with packers, palletizers, mixers, or extrusion equipment. Work Environment & Physical Requirements: No routine lifting over 50 lbs. Work at heights over 8 feet may be required. Forklift operation required; respirator use required for certain tasks.
