CT Technologist - Rushville, Illinois

A healthcare facility in Rushville, IL, is seeking a skilled radiologic technologist with expertise in computed tomography (CT) to support their imaging department on a contract basis. Key Responsibilities: Perform a variety of general imaging exams, including X-rays and CT scans, following standardized protocols. Ensure patient safety and comfort, offering clear communication and reassurance throughout the procedures. Operate and maintain radiology equipment such as GE, Phillips, Carestream, and Siemens systems with strict adherence to safety guidelines. Accurately document imaging results in the electronic medical record (EMR) and use Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS) for secure image management. Collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams to discuss findings, contributing to optimal patient outcomes. Adapt to varying clinical settings including inpatient, outpatient, and emergency departments as needed. Qualifications and Experience: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and licensed by the Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety. Current BLS/CPR certification required. Proven CT experience alongside foundational general imaging skills. Proficiency with Merge-PACS, Cerner/HIS, and RIS systems. Flexibility to work first shift (8:30 AM to 5:00 PM) including weekends and holidays. Working Environment and Benefits: The role entails an average workload of approximately 100 exams per day. No IV start or on-call duties required. Radiologist support is readily available on-site. Department-specific orientation and scrub uniforms provided.
