Licensed Security Officer

Job Summary: As a Licensed Security Officer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients by establishing strong working relationships with customers, local law enforcement, and fire departments. You will carry out security duties with heightened awareness of your surroundings, diligently monitoring all activities in your assigned area. A commitment to professionalism and outstanding customer service is essential. Basic Functions: Control pedestrian and vehicle traffic at entrances. Patrol buildings and their perimeters. Escort personnel and materials safely. Inspect security systems and fire hazards. Carry out special assignments as needed. Responsibilities: Your duties may vary based on specific assignments, departmental structure, and geographic location. Here's what to expect: Punctually report to your post in full uniform. Maintain a professional demeanor while greeting customers, visitors, and employees warmly. Stay updated on all revisions to post orders and pertinent information from management. Effectively patrol assigned areas or maintain a fixed post, reporting any suspicious activity and addressing incidents as they arise. Continuously monitor cameras and other equipment as directed. Be knowledgeable about emergency procedures and regulations to respond effectively in crises. Document all relevant activities through Daily Activity Reports, log book entries, and incident reports. Provide valuable feedback to management about safety and loss prevention improvements based on your observations. Understand the operation of life safety systems, fire panels, CCTV systems and ensure equipment is functioning properly. Fulfill training and compliance standards set by management and regulatory agencies. Communicate regularly with the Security Supervisor regarding any new security concerns or necessary changes.
