Payroll Specialist

Key Responsibilities Process weekly payroll for union and non-union employees, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies. Manage certified payroll reporting in compliance with prevailing wage, Davis-Bacon, and other governing regulations. Validate timecards, job costing codes, deductions, and wage tables. Maintain employee payroll records, benefits deductions, garnishments, and multi-state tax requirements. Prepare payroll-related reports for management, auditors, and government agencies. Collaborate with HR, project managers, and field supervisors on payroll discrepancies. Participate in internal and external payroll compliance audits. Qualifications 2-5+ years of payroll experience, preferably within a construction, trades, or general contracting environment. Strong understanding of certified payroll, prevailing wage requirements, and union agreements. Proficiency in Sage 300 is a plus High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills. Ability to manage high-volume payroll and strict deadlines. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
