Job Title: Test Technician V Location: Roseville, CA Duration: 6+ Months Job Description: As an Electrical R&D Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting new product development within the Aruba Networking lab. • Primarily responsible for designing, constructing, reworking, and testing prototype equipment for electrical systems and components, consistent with engineering and other applicable specifications. • Participate with engineering and other applicable specifications. • The ability to rework and repair SMT PCA’s using Metcal and Air pencil tools. • Setup, run and monitor environment and regulatory system tests. • Help write basic test plans. • Develop and improve technician processes and techniques. • Work with both co-located and remote teams. Experience Desired: At least four years of relevant technician experience Skills Desired: • Read and interpret schematics, printouts and specifications for hardware and systems. • Strong electrical and mechanical reworking skills. • Ability to set up network equipment highly desirable. • Knowledge of environmental and regulatory testing is highly desirable. • Working knowledge of hardware test equipment, including voltmeter, oscilloscope, pattern generator, logic analyzer. • Setup test equipment and measure electrical signals. • Strong sense of self-initiative and ability to work independently with minimal guidance from supervisors. • Solve technical problems with high degree of independent judgment and technical knowledge. • Strong teamwork and communication skills. • Working knowledge of MS Windows based PCs.
