Job Description:
Overview The General Warehouse Worker / Picker-Packer is responsible for accurately selecting, packing, and preparing customer orders for shipment. This role supports daily warehouse operations including inventory handling, shipping, receiving, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Key Responsibilities Order Picking & Packing Pick products accurately according to pick lists, RF scanners, or warehouse management systems. Pack orders securely to prevent damage during shipment. Label and prepare packages for outgoing delivery (UPS, FedEx, LTL, etc.). Shipping & Receiving Assist with unloading incoming shipments and verifying accuracy of received goods. Stage, organize, and store inventory in the correct warehouse locations. Support the shipping team by preparing pallets, shrink-wrapping, and staging outbound orders. Inventory Management Perform cycle counts and report discrepancies to supervisors. Replenish inventory in picking locations as needed. Maintain accurate stock handling to support production and order accuracy. General Warehouse Operations Operate warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, hand trucks, carts; forklifts if certified). Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all safety guidelines, SOPs, and company policies. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous warehouse, distribution, or production experience is a plus. Ability to lift 25-50 lbs regularly throughout the shift. Comfortable standing, bending, and walking for extended periods. Basic computer or scanner (RF) skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity targets. Work Environment & Schedule Warehouse environment (may include variable temperatures depending on season). Shifts may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, or overtime depending on business needs. Preferred Skills (Optional) Forklift certification (sit-down, stand-up, or cherry picker). Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS). Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
