Job Overview: Quality Manager The Quality Manager serves as the primary guardian of safety and quality standards. You will bridge the gap between departments to ensure we meet SQF, safety, and environmental regulations while driving continuous improvement and team development. Key ResponsibilitiesCompliance & Auditing: Oversee all SQF, FDA, and OSHA standards. Manage internal/external audits and maintain state/local safety and environmental compliance. Quality Control: Supervise raw material inspections, manage in-house rejections, and handle customer RMAs for out-of-spec materials. Safety Leadership: Lead the Safety Committee and monthly training. Manage pest control services and food safety guidelines. Team Development: Design and deliver quality metric training for both new and existing production and quality staff. Operational Excellence: Track KPIs and report directly to the CEO. Identify cost-saving initiatives and collaborate with managers to optimize processes. Customer Liaison: Communicate directly with customers regarding specs, returns, and annual compliance certifications. QualificationsExperience: 3+ years in Quality/Safety management and 2+ years in high-volume manufacturing. Certification: Must be HACCP and SQF certified (or willing to obtain certification). Knowledge: Strong grasp of SDY, FDA, and OSHA regulations. Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, organizational skills, and professional communication. Technical: Proficient in standard computer programs. Physical Requirements Mobility: Ability to sit, stand, or walk for more than 90% of the workday.
