In this role, you will lead the planning, design, and implementation of transportation systems that improve mobility, enhance safety, and promote sustainability within our communities. The location will be determined based on site/client office location per opportunity.Job Description:Design and Develop transportation infrastructure, including roadways, intersections, and traffic control systemsUtilize traffic simulation and modeling software to evaluate transportation scenariosCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate transportation solutions into broader urban development projectsPrepare engineering plans, technical specifications, reports, and project documentationDevelop and implement traffic management and safety strategies to reduce congestionEngage with stakeholders and participate in client meetings to present and discuss transportation plansMonitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory updatesManage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure successful deliverySupervise and mentor a team of engineersContribute to proposal development and ensure technical solutions meet client and industry standardsMaintain strong client and stakeholder relationshipsQualificationsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution Master's degree preferredProfessional Engineer (PE) license requiredMinimum 10 years of experience in roadway and transportation engineering designStrong knowledge of transportation engineering, planning, traffic flow analysis, and safety principlesProficiency in Civil3D, AutoCAD and/or MicroStationProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, GIS, and other data analysis toolsKnowledge of basic traffic engineering and transportation planning principlesStrong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams and client interactionPTOE (Professional Traffic Operations Engineer) certification preferredPMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferredAdditional InformationAdditional InformationProposed Salary: The salary range varies based on the scope of work, project location, and level of experience, and may fall between $130,000-$185,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience.Sheladia Associates, Inc. has made the best effort to accurately represent the pay range for this position, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and any applicable cost of living data relevant to the position/candidate.Other Compensation: opportunities for annual increase and bonus, and other types of bonusesSheladia provides employees the opportunity to work in a diverse, multi-cultural environment with exposure to and collaboration with multiple disciplines on a variety of projects.
