Key Responsibilities: Administer physician-prescribed respiratory treatments using invasive and non-invasive ventilation, oxygen therapy, aerosol and nebulizer devices Perform chest physiotherapy and suctioning to promote airway clearance Conduct oximetry, capnography, and pulmonary function tests in compliance with facility policies Monitor and evaluate chest X-rays and perform 12-lead EKG assessments with arrhythmia recognition Assist with respiratory-related procedures including bronchoscopy, chest tube placement, and tracheostomy care Carry out arterial punctures and assess ventilation efficiency while documenting results accurately Manage ventilatory equipment setup, operation, maintenance, and preventive repairs Collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare team members to optimize patient respiratory therapy Maintain accurate documentation in patient charts and respiratory care records Perform CPR following BLS and ACLS standards Ensure compliance with laboratory testing policies where applicable Desired Qualifications: Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential and active state licensure Experience in critical illness and rehabilitation respiratory care Proficiency with mechanical ventilation and advanced respiratory procedures Ability to educate patients and effectively communicate with multidisciplinary teams Strong attention to detail with accurate documentation practices Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification Location Overview: Rockford, Michigan offers a welcoming community atmosphere with access to beautiful parks, vibrant local businesses, and a quality healthcare environment.
