At Catskill Veterinary Services, you'll be part of a supportive, forward-thinking team that values your growth, skills, and well-being.Primary ResponsibilitiesAs a veterinary technician, you'll assist our doctors in delivering outstanding care through:Inducing and monitoring anesthesiaDental cleanings and full-mouth digital radiographsVenipuncture and intravenous catheter placementManagement of CRIs and fluid therapyCollecting and processing lab samples (blood, urine, cultures)Performing technician appointments (vaccinations, laser therapy, blood draws, etc.)Client communication for intakes, discharges, and educationHandling in-patient care and ICU casesAssisting with nerve blocks and surgical prepOperating advanced imaging systems, including HDVI CTSupporting diagnostic imaging via ultrasound and radiologyQualificationsNYS Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT)in good standingAAS in Veterinary Technology (minimum requirement)Proficiency in anesthesia, dentistry, and patient careAbility to lift 60 lbs and handle a variety of speciesEffective communicator and team playerCompassionate approach to patient advocacy, including end-of-life careExperience with exotics, equine, or farm animals is a plusRock Hill Hospital HighlightsOur flagship location is a 3,500 sq ft modern facility equipped with:Six exam rooms and a fully digital record system (Ezyvet) and digital treatment sheets (Ezyvet)Dedicated surgery and dental suites with digital imagingComprehensive in-house IDEXX lab (CBC/Chem/Coag/Snap Pro/UA/Sedi-View)Radiology suite with DR systemDoppler BP, Tonovet, ECG monitors (portable and stationary)Multiple ultrasound units for advanced diagnosticsHDVI CT scanner for high-definition imagingTelemedicine consultation capabilityScheduleWe are open7 days a week, offering both general and urgent care services with extended evening hours.
