Travel Surgical Tech Pediatric OR

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to support the Pediatric Operating Room at a high-acuity academic hospital. This role involves assisting surgeons during complex pediatric surgical procedures while maintaining sterile technique and ensuring patient safety. Strong Memorial Hospital is a Level I trauma and major academic center, with a dedicated children s hospital handling complex pediatric cases. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain sterile surgical field Set up and organize surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment Assist surgeons during procedures in the scrub role Anticipate surgeon needs during procedures Perform instrument counts and maintain sterile technique Ensure proper handling of surgical tools and equipment Support room turnover and case preparation Maintain accurate documentation and follow OR protocols =I Surgical techs play a critical role in ensuring smooth surgical flow and patient safety. Required Qualifications Minimum 2+ years of Surgical Tech experience (acute care OR) Pediatric OR experience strongly preferred / often required for Level 4 CST Certification (NBSTSA) required BLS Certification (AHA) required Must meet New York State Surgical Tech requirements Diverse Lynx LLC is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
