Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations._ **Responsibilities:** The Research Assistant at Mt. Hope Family Center will be working on research studies to collect psychological and biological research data. Research studies are related to examining the impact of stress, trauma, and child maltreatment on mental and physical health among children and adults. The position requires experience conducting research with families from diverse backgrounds. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS** + Conduct research sessions with child and adult participants + Assist with recruitment of participants for the study + Enter research visit information and study data into project databases + Contact participants and schedule research visits + Process biological samples for analysis + Other duties as assigned **MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE** + Associate's degree in appropriate discipline plus 2-3 years specialized experience in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience required. + Bachelor's degree preferred. + 1-2 years of research experience working with human subjects or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES** + Familiarity and comfort with Excel, ACCESS, and other databases, and statistical software such as SPSS, are preferred. + Transportation of research participants to and from the Center, transporting biological samples to URMC labs, and recruitment in the community using personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed) required. **LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS** + Driver's License required + Phlebotomy preferred The University of Rochester is committed to fostering, cultivating, and preserving an inclusive and welcoming culture to advance the University's Mission to Learn, Discover, Heal, Create - and Make the World Ever Better.
