It's an opportunity for someone who thrives in change mode and has successfully built materials or production-support processes from the ground upWhy This Role ExistsOur client is redesigning how materials are staged, sequenced, and delivered to production. Their current model relies heavily on production teams to pull and stage materials, but this role will centralize that responsibility, establish structure where it doesn't yet exist, and create a scalable, data-driven materials operation that supports complex manufacturing.You'll lead the transformation"”and then continue to own and evolve the operation.What You'll Be Responsible ForDesigning and implementing kitting, FIFO, staging, and line-feed processes that support production sequencingOwning end-to-end materials flow into and through manufacturingLeading a major materials and inventory transformation from concept through executionCreating standard work, work instructions, and repeatable processesDriving inventory control, accuracy, cycle counting, and variance reductionUsing data and analytics to manage complexity, identify risks, and improve performancePartnering closely with production, planning, procurement, and warehouse teamsLeading and developing a team while remaining highly hands-onWhat Will Make You SuccessfulDeep experience in manufacturing materials management (not distribution-center-only environments)Proven ability to build processes and structure, not just run existing onesComfort operating in ambiguity and pushing change forwardStrong analytical capability and personal ownership of data analysisConfidence, initiative, and a take-charge leadership styleRequired ExperienceExtensive experience in a manufacturing or production environment, ideally high-mix or build-to-orderBackground supporting production lines with materials, inventory, or operations leadershipStrong Excel and data analysis skills (pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas, reporting)Experience working with ERP/MRP systems in support of manufacturingBachelor's degree in supply chain, operations, engineering, business, or equivalent experienceNice to HaveLean or continuous improvement experienceExperience creating standard work or documented operational processesExposure to inventory reduction, inventory turns improvement, or cost-saving initiativesSupply chain, operations, or project management certificationsImportant to KnowThis role is highly hands-onYou'll be building a structure while running the operationBest suited for builders, not caretakersLong-term ownership continues after the initial transformation is completeOur client can't provide sponsorship at this time; applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or a Green Card holder.
