Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Electrical Project Engineer to support the planning, execution, and delivery of electrical engineering projects. This role bridges engineering design and project management, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all technical and regulatory requirements.The ideal candidate has a solid electrical engineering foundation, strong coordination skills, and experience supporting commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects from design through construction and closeout.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport electrical engineering projects from design through construction and commissioningAssist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost trackingCoordinate with project managers, designers, contractors, and field teamsReview electrical drawings, specifications, submittals, and RFIs for accuracy and constructabilityAssist in the preparation of electrical system layouts, single-line diagrams, and load calculationsTrack equipment procurement, deliveries, and installation progressParticipate in project meetings, site walks, and inspectionsEnsure compliance with applicable codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and local AHJs)Support change order development and documentationAssist with quality control, testing, commissioning, and project closeout documentationMaintain accurate project records, reports, and as-built documentationRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field2-5 years of experience in electrical engineering or project support rolesWorking knowledge of electrical systems including:Power distributionLighting and controlsGrounding and bondingAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsStrong organizational and communication skillsProficiency with engineering and project tools (AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office, Bluebeam, or similar)Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced project environmentPreferred QualificationsEIT certification or progress toward PE licensureExperience with commercial, industrial, healthcare, data center, or utility projectsFamiliarity with design-build or EPC project delivery methodsExperience working with construction teams and field installation activitiesKnowledge of project management platforms (Procore, MS Project, Primavera, etc.)
