Our client, a leader in the life sciences industry, is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join their team. As a Regulatory Affairs Specialist, you will be part of the Regulatory Operations & Compliance department supporting global movement of preclinical and early-stage laboratory materials. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, adaptability, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Regulatory Affairs Specialist Location: Richmond, VA Pay Range: $34-38/hr. Job Type: Contract with potential for hire Schedule: 8am-5pm Eastern What's the Job? Lead regulatory operations and compliance for international shipments of preclinical and investigational materials Assess and advise on permits, documentation, and PGA regulations such as FDA, Fish & Wildlife, TSCA Partner with internal teams to ensure compliant import/export activities and resolve shipment challenges Develop and establish regulatory frameworks, SOPs, and playbooks to standardize processes Collaborate with scientific, trade compliance, and internal stakeholders to translate complex regulations into operational guidance What's Needed? Bachelor's Degree required 5+ years of experience in regulatory affairs, regulatory operations, or trade compliance Experience supporting international movement of scientific, chemical, or biological materials Working knowledge of PGA requirements including FDA, Fish & Wildlife Service, TSCA Strong ability to develop SOPs, frameworks, and interpret evolving regulations What's in it for me?
