Chamberlain University is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant - Assistant Professor to join our new Richmond, CA, Master of Physician Assistant Studies Program. This role offers a unique opportunity to teach in various learning environments while contributing to the development of future healthcare leaders.Key Responsibilities:Teaching Excellence: Implement our College’s philosophy and curriculum through engaging classroom, online, and clinical teaching.Curriculum Development: Collaborate on didactic and clinical curriculum planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation.Course Coordination: Serve as a course coordinator or team instructor, managing both autonomous and shared teaching responsibilities.Student Engagement: Provide meaningful feedback to students, support their advising and counseling needs, and assist with remediation.Data Management: Help manage databases and evaluate data on student performance, faculty evaluations, national exam results, and more.Program Development: Participate in the review and revision of the program's mission and academic policies, and contribute to the admissions process.Professional Role Model: Serve as a mentor for students and faculty, promoting professionalism and collaboration within the College and community.Scholarly Activities: Engage in professional organizations to promote the PA profession and contribute to the continuous improvement of our programs.QualificationsMaster's Degree or higher.Two years of full-time teaching experience or three years of clinical experience as a PA.Experientially prepared to teach assigned courses.NCCPA certified physician assistant (PA-C).Maintain current regulatory and practice credentials, as appropriate, based on assignment.Excellent communication skills, along with a high level of initiative and prudent judgment.Must meet all compliance requirements as specified in the Faculty Handbook. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
