Substance Abuse Counselor

Cornerstone of Rhinebeck - Cornerstone of Rhinebeck, a short-term, inpatient chemical dependency treatment program for adults, is seeking a Full Time and Per Diem Substance Abuse Counselor to work directly with patients. As a vital member of our treatment team, you will provide individual and group counseling services to help individuals overcome addiction and achieve long-term recovery.Schedule:Full Time Schedule: Sunday to Thursday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PMPer Diem Schedule: Open to the needs of the department; weekends and holidays may be requiredResponsibilities:Provide individual and group counseling sessions to patientsDevelop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and primary cliniciansConduct assessments and screenings to identify patients' needs and develop treatment plansWork closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive careMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient progress and treatment plansParticipate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay current with best practices and program developmentsRequirements:Must be CASAC-T, CASAC, CASAC2, CASAC Advanced Counselor, or CASAC Master CounselorExperienced in group and individual counselingComputer literateExperience with electronic medical records is a plusBilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
