Travel CoordinatorPosition Summary This position coordinates and executes travel plans and arrangements for travelers in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Essential Functions Coordinates with management and associates to provide travel-related information. Advises associates on the best travel plans based on their needs and requirements, within the guidelines of the Ormat Travel Policy. Researches, compares, reserves and purchases airline tickets, rental cars and hotel accommodations that best suits the traveler's needs, while following the guidelines as outlined in the Ormat Travel Policy. Provides assistance to travelers during their travel. May refer travelers to other resources when travel assistance is needed or required outside of normal business hours. Enters payments and maintains travel related records and documents in the Ormat Business Travel Platform. A professional appearance and telephone manner is essential. Must be able to work weekends and/or overtime as required. Other Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned. Education, Experience, and Skills Required The ability to understand procedures and instructions specific to the areas of assignment as would be acquired in three to four years of high school. Excellent customer service skills. Minimum 3 years travel coordination experience preferred. Excellent verbal and writing communicational skills. Good organizational, management and negotiation skills. The ability and knowledge to operate a variety of standard office equipment. Must have the ability to work without supervision. Must be able to use and acquire knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation. Must be proficient in MS word, Excel, Power Point and use of the Internet. Must be able to read, write and speak English at a level which will permit the employee to accurately understand and communicate information to safely and efficiently perform the job duties. Physical Requirements The ability to work at a computer and computer monitor and use repetitive motion for long periods of time. The ability to occasionally lift up to 10 pounds. This position requires sitting/standing 80% of the time and walking 20% of the time. We do not offer relocation assistance for this position
