Surgery - General Nurse Practitioner

Facility: Hospital offering a wide range of healthcare services, including emergency care, cancer treatment, heart services, surgical care, maternal and child health, and behavioral health services. Opportunity: Looking for Trauma Service APP (PA or NP) Coverage! Candidate should not have just critical care experience, must have Trauma Schedule/Availability Requirements: June 5-6 and June 17-21 July and Aug all month, looking for 7 on/7 off preferably PM shift (3 p.m. to 1 a.m.) May be some 6a-4p shifts, new locums cannot work those shifts in the beginning as there is not much support on those shifts Setting: Level II Trauma Center Required Procedures: Low/moderate risk procedures such as laceration repair, IV access/IV insertion-peripheral line, fracture and dislocation reductions (minimal/moderate displacement). High risk procedures: G-tube placement, endotracheal intubation, cardioversion/defibrillation, LMA, paracentesis, chest tubes, central and arterial line placement. EMR: Cerner Care B Support Staff: There will be one other Trauma NP/PA who works day shift (7a-5p). Compensation: Competitive weekly pay and malpractice included.
