General Laborer

Job Summary:The Laborer performs a variety of tasks under close supervision of higher-level employees. These tasks may include assisting with extra workload, covering absences and vacations, and supplementing crews to meet unusual changes in the production area.Duties/Responsibilities:Transports freight, stock, and other materials by hand or by the use of trucks to and from various locations.Sorts cargo before loading or unloading.Loads and unloads cargo using appropriate tools.Closely follows directions to operate machinery, hold or supply materials and tools, and load or unload items on machinery and assembly lines.Performs other related duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:Good verbal and written communication skills.Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions.Ability to work in a variety of roles.Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods standing and walking.Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds at times.Job Type: Full-timePay: $ $17.50 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee discountHealth insurancePaid time offWork Location: In person
