Job Description:
DescriptionWe are looking for a committed Grapple Truck Operator/Driver to join our team. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and ensuring optimal performance. Daily tasks include driving, operating, greasing machinery, and conducting routine safety inspections. Operator/driver of a Class A-required vehicle; capable of driving a heavy-duty vehicle with a trailer; capable of operating a Palfinger, Serco, and Robotec grapple or similar equipment. Drive a manual or automatic CDL class vehicle in a safe and professional manner.This position offers opportunities for growth and development across various company functions. Candidates must have foundational knowledge in operating a grapple truck and heavy vehicles, a valid Class A driver's license with a clean record, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screening.Requirements• Operator/driver of a Class A-required vehicle.• Capable of driving a Heavy Duty vehicle with trailer; capable of operating a Palfinger, Serco and Robotec grapple or similar equipment.• Drive a manual or automatic CDL class vehicle in a safe and professional manner.• Basic mechanical knowledge to make small repairs (change hydraulic hose, grease and lube, safety walk around inspection)• Follow all Safety Program, Policies and Procedures• Driving grapple truck to and from work sites and dump sites each day.• Operating knuckle boom grapple on CDL grapple truck to pick up logs and debris from residential and commercial customers' locations as scheduled.• Knowing how to safely handle, operate and maintain chainsaws and other tree care equipment.• Cleaning and maintaining whichever truck he/she may drive and operate.• Clearing work sites of all debris, including raking debris, picking up small sticks and branches, blowing off driveways and lawns, etc.• Working safely and efficiently, meeting the set production schedule each day.• Serve in alternate roles such as groundperson or equipment operator if needed• Follow detailed instructions with precision.• Load tree debris into the truck using a knuckle boom loader, ensuring the debris is secure and safe for transport.• 1+years of related experience in the tree care industry or similar field• Valid driver's license with clean Motor Vehicle Record (CDL required) Other Duties and ResponsibilitiesOther Duties and Responsibilities• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.• Provide excellent customer service to clients, vendors, and suppliers.
