Job Description:

We are looking for a highly qualified Building Plans Examiner with Massachusetts State Certification and ICC certification(s) to conduct professional building plan reviews. You will be working primarily in the Boston Metro and Cape Cod Region, ensuring technical accuracy and a deep understanding of Massachusetts Codes and Standards. Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough plan reviews to ensure compliance with the Massachusetts Building Code. Evaluate architectural, structural, fire and life-safety, accessibility, and egress elements. Engage professionally with design professionals, municipal agencies, and team members. Offer clear, defensible code interpretations and detailed review comments. Maintain timely and accurate plan review documentation. Qualifications: Massachusetts State Certification (Plans Examiner or equivalent). ICC Plans Examiner Certification(s) (Preferred in Building; additional disciplines are a plus). Proven experience in municipal or third-party plan review. Strong understanding of Massachusetts amendments. Excellent written communication skills and professional judgment. MA Licensed Engineer or Architect is preferred. Multi-discipline ICC certifications are an advantage. Experience with commercial, mixed-use, or specialized occupancies.
