Maintenance Operator for Electric GenerationCity of Princeton Job NoticeThe Electric Generation Department is issuing notice of a job opening for the position of Generation Maintenance Operator. This position is stationed at the Electric Generation Plant at 3 North Main St. and reports to the Generation Supervisor.Summary of Duties: Observe all safety guidelines, methods, and personal protective equipment; learn and operate SCADA system; learn and operate PLC?s, HDMI, HMI, and Allen Bradley operation systems; learn to operate and maintain 8 generators; apply practical mechanical skills to maintaining all equipment; maintain required records; and other duties as required by the Supervisor and Electric Superintendent.Must have a high school diploma or GED; must be able to lift loads in excess of 50 lbs.; must be able to work near high electric voltages; must be available to work On-Call on a routine basis; must be able to respond and work extended hours during sustained power outages; must be able to work in extreme heat and work around a variety of fuels and toxic chemicals. Preferred candidate will have experience with electric generation engines and diesel engine repair, working knowledge of electricity, ability to weld, and familiarity with computers.Minimum of $35.62/hr., subject to qualifications, certifications, and experience.
