Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 03/24/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary 1. Experience Requirement 2 years of current experience required. Experience should be recent and relevant to the unit (likely Med-Surg/Telemetry since ratio is 1:5-1:6). 2. Certifications Required Candidate must have the following active certifications: BLS - Basic Life Support ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support NIH - NIH Stroke Scale Certification 3. Patient Ratio 1:5 to 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio Meaning one RN will handle 5 to 6 patients per shift . 4. EMR System Hospital uses Meditech EMR Candidate should ideally have experience with Meditech charting system . 5. License Requirement RN must have Kentucky RN License OR Compact State RN License that allows working in Kentucky. 6. Orientation Orientation is bi-weekly This means new nurses only start orientation every 2 weeks . 7. Start Date The start date listed in the job posting is the required start date . Candidate must be available to start on that date. 8. Distance Rule RN must live more than 100 miles from the facility . This is required to qualify as a travel nurse . 9.
