Shift Times:8a-4p, M-FFull Time Coverage Needed6 month contractJuly 2026 startUnit Information:Provider: 1Anesthesia: in each procedureNP: 1LPN: 1Acuity level of patients: Adults acutely ill with a wide variety of medical problems.Patient Ratios: 1:14-18Automated Medication dispensing system: PixysCharting: EPICSkill Set:Required:AHA BLSNY State LicenseMin of 3 years recent experienceUnit Policies:Clock In/out time: shift start/shift endLunch breaks: Required- 30 minsOvertime: Must be approvedCell Phone Use: NOT allowed, please leave in lockerCall-In policy/ Process: 2hr notice required. call supervisor & agencyEvaluate medical problems of patients in the assigned Gastroenterology/Internal Medicine practice setting and request consultation of other specialties when indicated.Provide education to patients and/or families about preventive care, medical issues, and use of prescribed medical treatments and/or medications pertinent to the patient s condition.Document all medical evaluations, diagnoses, procedures, treatments, outcomes, education, referrals, and consultations consistent with NCQA, The Joint Commission, state regulatory standards, and evidence-based standards of care.Maintain documentation compliance for appropriate coding and billing.Facilitate evaluation of records by physician(s), peers, and quality standards according to protocols and receive and implement constructive directives.Referral of complex and high-priority cases to collaborating physicians concerning complicated diagnostic problems, serious illness, complicated therapeutic issues, and re-evaluation of chronic conditions.Provide medical and emergency interventions appropriate to the client s needs; prescribe and monitor medications relevant to the diagnosis; order and monitor the appropriateness of emergency interventions.This role requires a strong understanding of gastroenterology, the ability to collaborate with other healthcare professionals, and the skill to provide comprehensive patient care.
