This opportunity seeks skilled Pharmacy Technicians to support a long-term care pharmacy setting in Portland, ME. This is a 13-week contract position with an immediate start, working Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, including rotating weekends. These roles focus on prescription fulfillment and pharmacy support under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. Key Responsibilities: Accurately fill prescriptions and prepare medications with attention to detail and compliance. Assist with prepackaging medications for dispensing in accordance with regulatory standards. Support final prescription checks by the pharmacist and assist in packaging post-review. Collaborate with pharmacy management to maintain inventory accuracy, including rotation and recording of medications. Contribute to a clean and safe work environment by checking equipment calibration and cleanliness. Work closely with billing and technician supervisors to ensure efficient prescription processing and reimbursement. Note: This role focuses on fulfillment tasks; no IV preparation required. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Current and valid Pharmacy Technician license in Maine. Experience in long-term care pharmacy settings or similar environments. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment. Familiarity with pharmacy computer systems and billing processes.
