Pharmacist Clinical | Pollock, Louisiana

A community hospital with over 200 beds is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to support its pharmacy operations on a 13-week contract basis in the Alexandria, LA area. Work Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week Rotating schedule with possible shifts from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, or 12:30 PM to 11:00 PM Every other weekend rotation Key Responsibilities: Order verification to ensure medication accuracy and safety Supervising and collaborating with pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow efficiency Consulting with physicians and nurses regarding medication therapy and patient care Applying pharmacokinetic principles for optimal patient dosing and monitoring Utilizing EPIC and Pyxis systems for electronic medical records and medication dispensing Desired Qualifications: Active pharmacist license and BLS certification (American Heart Association) Experience working in hospital or clinical pharmacy settings Proficiency with EPIC and Pyxis systems preferred Strong communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration Ability to adapt to rotating shifts and varied schedules This role offers an opportunity to contribute clinical expertise in a dynamic hospital environment with a focus on patient safety and interdisciplinary teamwork.
