Hourly School Security Guard

Reply By: Open Until Filled Salary: $35 Hourly Position Information: Hourly position, responsible for maintaining order and providing security in CVES buildings and on CVES property. With appropriate licensure, training, and CVES approval, position will be an armed guard. The focus is on prevention and early intervention through establishing a rapport with students while working collaboratively with administration and staff. Position will follow the school calendar, 6 weeks of summer school, and after school events. Typical schedule will be 8am to 3pm. For 2025-2026 school year, seeking 2 candidates to ensure daily coverage by a school security guard. Location: CVES Plattsburgh Campuses, immediate openings Requirements: Must meet Civil Service Requirements. We are seeking a retired police officer or federal officer that holds a valid New York State pistol permit. Satisfactory completion of an approved security guard training course will be required for selected candidates.
