About the job Staff Pharmacist Job Title: Staff PharmacistLocation: Plattsburgh, New York, USA Required: 3 to 25 yearsJob Summary:The Staff Pharmacist will prepare and dispense medications for inpatient and outpatient populations, ensuring accuracy and compliance while maintaining high patient care standards.Key Responsibilities:Dispense medications per prescriptions and regulations.Provide drug therapy consultation.Ensure compliance with hospital policies.Monitor medication use and manage inventory.Educate patients on proper medication use.Maintain accurate pharmacy records.Qualifications:Education & Certification:Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS Pharmacy) required.Active Registered Pharmacist (NYS) license or eligibility required.Experience:2+ years inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required.Residency training and Epic software experience preferred.Retail pharmacy experience is a plus.Skills:Knowledge of pharmacology and medication management.Proficiency in pharmacy software.Strong communication and attention to detail.Shift Details:Primary Shift: 2:30 PM to 11:00 PMSecondary Shifts: 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM and 7:00 AM to 3:30 PMMust-Have Requirements:2+ years inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.Current NY state pharmacist license or ability to obtain.Willingness to work evening shifts onsite.Nice-to-Have Qualifications:Residency training.Experience with Epic software.Retail pharmacy background.
