Achieva provides personalized services and opportunities that respect each person's unique aspirations.Position SummaryProvides Early Intervention Special Instruction and Hearing Services to children birth to three and their families, within the context of established Early Intervention practices and in accordance with each child's Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP). Promotes the achievement of children and family outcomes related to communication, auditory development, and early learning through evidence-based, family-centered practices. Works collaboratively with families, service coordinators, and multidisciplinary IFSP team members to support developmental progress. Reports to the Early Intervention ManagerKey Responsibilities Support the achievement of children and family outcomes through Family-Guided Routines-Based Intervention. Provide direct Special Instruction and Hearing Services to children and families in their homes and community settings consistent with Early Intervention best practices. Collaborate and communicate effectively with all members of the child's IFSP team to ensure coordinated and consistent service delivery.Conduct developmental and functional assessments as appropriate to identify needs related to hearing, communication, and learning. Develop and implement individualized strategies and supports that promote skill development in natural environments. Ensure completion of all required documentation and progress notes within established Early Intervention timeframes. Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and county Early Intervention regulations, policies, and procedures, as well as HIPAA requirements. Maintain all certification and continuing education requirements as outlined by state and county Early Intervention standards. Attend required state and county Early Intervention trainings as requested. Uphold Achieva's mission and values through family-centered and inclusive practices. Perform other related duties as assigned. Must meet the requirements of a Special Instructor according to §4226.55 (Early Interventionist Qualifications): A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in early intervention, early childhood special education, early childhood education, child development, special education, or family studies, and one year of full-time (or equivalent) experience working directly with preschool children with disabilities and their families; or A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university including 15 credit hours in early intervention, early childhood special education, early childhood education, child development, special education, or family studies; and one year of full-time (or equivalent) experience working directly with preschool children with disabilities and their families, and demonstrated knowledge, understanding, and skills needed to perform Early Intervention responsibilities as specified in §4226.54. Specialty in Hearing and Hard of Hearing Services required.
