This is more than a contract-it is a chance to serve an underserved community while enjoying competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and a flexible schedule.Facility Information: Why This Opportunity Stands OutLong-term contract (up to 1 year with extension options) Location: Pine Ridge IHS Hospital, South DakotaTarget Start: May/JuneFull-time hours with day or night shift availability Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package PTO, sick time, and holiday pay Consistent scheduling supporting work-life balance Open to both local and travel candidates Opportunity to serve and make a meaningful impact in Native communities Position OverviewThe Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Laboratory Technician will provide services in both inpatient and outpatient clinical laboratory settings, supporting essential diagnostic care.Perform diagnostic testing in chemistry, hematology, blood bank, urinalysis, serology, and microbiology Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers and equipment Perform quality control procedures and equipment calibration Analyze and interpret laboratory results using sound professional judgment Assist with phlebotomy as needed Work in hospital and/or outpatient clinic environments Accurately document and manage data within an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system Additional InformationAdditional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed. Preference is given to qualified Native American candidates in accordance with applicable laws. #MLT #LabContractApply today to talk to a member of our Recruiting Team!RequirementsQualificationsAssociate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (Bachelor's degree preferred) ASCP, AMT, or equivalent certification required Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required 2-3 years of experience as a CLS or MLT in a hospital laboratory setting Previous medical or clinical laboratory experience required Experience in rural or underserved healthcare settings preferred Prior Indian Health Services (IHS) or tribal healthcare experience preferred Phlebotomy experience preferred Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Must be a U.S. citizen Must be able to pass Federal Security Clearance Immunization records requiredAre you ready?
