The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in designing, developing, and optimizing database solutions while ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability in production environments. This is an onsite role based in Phoenix, AZ.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases and related data solutionsDevelop and support ETL processes for data integration, transformation, and loadingWrite, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries and stored proceduresPerform database migrations across SQL Server environments with minimal downtimeConduct performance tuning for databases, queries, and server workloadsAnalyze and improve query performance using execution plans and SQL Server toolsWork closely with development and business teams to translate requirements into scalable database solutionsMonitor and tune database performance, including indexing strategies and query optimizationResolve production issues related to performance, blocking/locking, and data integritySupport database deployments, upgrades, and release management activitiesAutomate administrative and monitoring tasks using PowerShell scriptingEnsure data quality, consistency, and compliance with security standardsParticipate in database design reviews and provide optimization recommendationsRequired Skills & Experience5+ years of experience in SQL Server database development and supportStrong experience with MS SQL Server (2008/2008 R2/2012/2014/2016/2017/2019)Hands-on experience with SQL Server 2016 & 2017 (3+ years preferred)Strong expertise in ETL development and data integration processesAdvanced knowledge of SQL Query Optimization and Query Execution PlansStrong experience in performance tuning at query, database, and server levelExperience in database migration projects across environmentsProficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and administrationExperience with indexing strategies, stored procedure optimization, and workload tuningStrong understanding of blocking, locking, deadlocks, and transaction managementExperience working with production databases and troubleshooting issuesFamiliarity with capacity planning, monitoring, and database health checksPreferred SkillsExperience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)Exposure to data warehouse concepts and reporting systemsKnowledge of Always On, replication, or high availability solutionsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsDroisys is an equal opportunity employer.
