This role is responsible for optimizing surface mount technology (SMT) operations, enhancing soldering processes, and driving efficiency across manufacturing workflows while maintaining high quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport SMT manufacturing processes, including solder paste printing, component placement, and reflow operationsAssist in operating and maintaining SMT equipment such as printers, pick-and-place machines, and inspection systemsDrive process optimization initiatives to enhance production efficiency and product qualitySupport soldering and conformal coating operations, including selective soldering and underfill processesTroubleshoot SMT production issues and assist in root cause analysis and corrective actionsMonitor and support inspection processes, including AOI and X-ray systemsAssist with depaneling and press-fit equipment operationsEnsure adherence to IPC standards and overall manufacturing quality requirementsMaintain and update manufacturing process documentation and work instructionsContribute to continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to improve workflow, efficiency, and process reliabilityQualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering preferred (Electrical, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering)3-5 years of experience in electronics manufacturingStrong experience with SMT manufacturing processesExperience with SMT equipment including:Solder Paste Printers (MPM or Ekra)Solder Paste Inspection (Koh Young)Component Placement (Mycronic or Fuji)CompensationEstimated hourly range: $38-$40/hr (W-2)Final rate within this range will be based on skills, experience, and interview results.Schedule: 2nd Shift (2:30 PM start), 9/80 scheduleWork Schedule: 100% Onsite
