Reading Teacher

Reading Teacher Key Responsibilities: Instruction & Intervention Provide small-group reading intervention for students (primarily grades K-3). Deliver instruction using the school-provided curriculum and materials. Implement evidence-based reading strategies aligned with student needs. Lesson Planning & Documentation Prepare and deliver structured intervention lessons tailored to student skill levels. Document student progress, assessment data, and instructional notes as required by the school site. Classroom & Group Management Maintain a positive, engaging, and structured small-group learning environment. Support student focus, participation, and skill-building through effective classroom management practices. Collaboration Work closely with school staff, administrators, and support teams to align instruction with student needs. Participate in site meetings as requested to review student progress or discuss instructional planning. Professional Conduct Maintain professional communication with school partners, administrators, and Point Quest leadership. Participate in ongoing professional development as required. Reading Teacher Qualifications: Education & Credentials Bachelor's degree required. Valid Arizona Gen Ed ADE Certification required. IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required. Experience Preferred experience teaching reading or delivering reading intervention for grades K-3. Experience working with small groups or differentiated instruction highly preferred. Skills Strong understanding of early literacy foundations and reading intervention strategies. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities. Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team. Proficiency with basic computer and documentation tools. Physical Demands: Occasional exposure to typical school environment conditions (dust, noise, etc.). Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and lifting items as needed, with or without reasonable accommodation.
