Job Description:
Position Summary:The Assistant Quality Manager supports the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality systems and processes for Energy Storage System (ESS) products. This role ensures product quality, drives defect reduction, and maintains compliance with internal standards and external regulations.Key Responsibilities:Quality Assurance & Control (QA/QC)Perform quality inspections for incoming materials, in-process production, and final product shipmentsDevelop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), control plans, and inspection criteriaMonitor product quality metrics, including yield and defect rates, and drive continuous improvement through data analysisTesting & AnalysisPlan and execute electrical, mechanical, and environmental testing for ESS packs and componentsLead reliability and lifecycle testing at the system levelAnalyze test data and defects; implement corrective actions and generate detailed reportsCustomer Quality ManagementManage customer complaints, including root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)Support customer audits and maintain clear, timely communication on quality issuesProvide technical support for field issues, including return material authorization (RMA) processesQuality Systems & Audit ManagementSupport and maintain compliance with quality standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and ISO 14001Prepare for and participate in internal and external auditsMaintain quality documentation, including manuals, procedures, and recordsSupplier Quality ManagementEvaluate, qualify, and audit suppliers to ensure consistent quality performanceMonitor incoming material quality and collaborate with suppliers on corrective actionsEnsure quality compliance in outsourced manufacturing and component sourcingQualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Chemical, Materials Engineering, or a related field2-4 years of experience in quality management within manufacturing, preferably in battery or ESS industriesProficiency with quality tools and methodologies (FMEA, 8D, SPC, MSA, 5 Whys, Fishbone)Experience with inspection and testing systems (e.g., LIMS, MES, ERP)Strong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesEffective communication and cross-functional collaboration skillsProficiency in English (written and verbal)Preferred Qualifications:Proficiency in Korean (written and verbal)Hands-on experience with battery pack or ESS quality controlUnderstanding of Battery Management Systems (BMS) and Power Conversion Systems (PCS)Experience working with global customers and international regulatory standardsCertifications such as Six Sigma (Green Belt/Black Belt) or ISO-related credentials
