Public Relations Coordinator

Location: Center City PhiladelphiaType: Full-Time, In-PersonPhilly PR Girl is seeking a dynamic, media-savvy PR Coordinator to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who understands the Philadelphia media landscape, can craft compelling narratives, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.We're looking for a strong writer and strategic thinker who is eager to take ownership of client accounts, secure meaningful media coverage, and contribute to impactful campaigns and events across the city.ResponsibilitiesAs a PR Coordinator, you will play a key role in executing public relations strategies and managing day-to-day client needs with the help of your PR Manager. Responsibilities include:Writing and editing press releases, media alerts, pitches, and client communicationsBuilding and maintaining targeted media lists across local and regional outletsProactively pitching stories and securing earned media coverage (TV, print, digital, radio)Assisting in the management of multiple client accounts with strong attention to detail and deadlinesSupporting and mentoring junior team members or internsAssisting with event planning, media outreach, and on-site coordinationCollaborating with internal teams (digital, social, events) to ensure cohesive messagingMonitoring media coverage and providing client reporting and recapsStaying up to date on Philadelphia news, trends, and media opportunitiesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or related field1-3 years of public relations experience (agency experience and Philadelphia market preferred)Proven ability to secure local media coverageExceptional writing, editing, and communication skillsStrong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple clientsExperience supporting or executing events is a plusFamiliarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, TikTok)Self-starter with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindsetWhy Philly PR GirlAt Philly PR Girl, we operate as a true team, collaborative, fast-paced, and always all hands on deck.
