Job Title: Accounting Operations Analyst IContract Duration: 2-3 MonthsJob SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Operations Analyst I to support payment processing and accounting operations in a fast-paced environment. This role focuses on accurately applying premium and non-premium payments, ensuring data integrity, meeting service-level agreements, and collaborating across internal and external business partners. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.Key ResponsibilitiesAs an Accounting Operations Analyst I, you will:Accurately identify, research, and input premium and non-premium payments into applicable systems using established proceduresPerform required cross-checks and reconciliations to ensure data accuracy and integrityAdhere to departmental and MAR control standards to ensure compliance and qualityUtilize multiple internal systems and bank imaging tools to research payments receivedCollaborate closely with Accounting, Billing, and Accounts Receivable teams to ensure proper payment allocation and reconciliationPartner with external vendors, including banking partners, to research and resolve payment discrepanciesManage daily deliverables within defined SLAs, including peak periods such as Open EnrollmentComplete batching and preparation of incoming mail in alignment with internal controlsResearch and resolve payment exceptions identified in daily reportsTransmit payments using Remote Deposit Capture (RDC) and Virtual Lockbox systems and complete required reportingMaintain departmental production and quality metricsProvide insight into payment adjustments and their impact on customers and business partnersIdentify opportunities for process improvements and support implementation effortsParticipate in projects and perform additional duties as business needs requireRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experienceUp to 2 years of relevant accounting, operations, or financial services experienceStrong attention to detail with the ability to function in a fast-paced environmentAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesStrong analytical skills with the ability to determine root causesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and OutlookPreferred QualificationsTreasury or payment operations experience in the Healthcare or Insurance industryWorking knowledge of Oracle applicationsExperience with PeopleSoft systemsWork EnvironmentOffice or hybrid accounting operations environmentHigh-volume transaction processingCollaborative, deadline-driven team setting
