This full-timeposition is ideal for individuals seeking an academic position that allows forclinical practice, supervision and teaching, support of trainee research, andopportunities for leadership roles, program development, and administrativeadvancement.The responsibilities of the position include helping todevelop child and adolescent mental health services in the community, boththrough direct clinical care but also supervision of trainees. Our departmenthas worked to identify areas of need for children and families and ispositioned to support a growing clinical enterprise to meet those needs. Wehave developed strong community partnerships and anticipate that the facultymember will work alongside other clinicians in a tertiary care children'shospital, at Easters Seals, and at a local university. We anticipate opening anew child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship to train the next generation ofcaregivers. This fully academic position will actively support our recruitmentefforts and teach and supervise child psychiatry fellows, general psychiatryresidents, and medical students. The faculty member will participate indepartment-wide programming such as Grand Rounds, Journal club, and CaseConference. Other duties include curriculum development, promoting a culture ofexcellence, student evaluation, and scholarly support. Most duties can beadapted to the interests of the applicant.
