About the role Louis Industries is seeking a motivated Engineering & Quality Intern to support our Design Engineering and Quality teams. This is a great opportunity for a student who wants hands-on experience in a modern manufacturing environment and is eager to learn about CAD, quality processes, and production support. What you'll do As an intern, you'll assist our teams with entry-level tasks such as: Helping create or update simple drawings, prints, or models under supervision Supporting data entry in engineering and quality systems (ERP, SigmaNest, SolidWorks exports, etc.) Assisting with basic quality checks, measurements, or documentation Organizing and updating work instructions, routers, or controlled documents Assisting in collecting and entering information for non-conforming materials, corrective actions, or audits Shadowing engineers, quality technicians, and production leads to learn how parts flow through our facility Supporting small improvement projects related to workflow, 5S, or process accuracy Helping prepare kits, prints, or documentation for upcoming production orders Performing simple part inspections or measurements (training provided) What We're Looking For Currently enrolled in a Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Quality, CAD/Drafting, or similar program Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, blueprint reading, or CAD is a plus (but not required) Interest in learning CAD tools such as SolidWorks or SigmaNest Willingness to learn measurement tools (calipers, micrometers) and quality processes Strong attention to detail and eagerness to develop real-world skills Why Join Us?
