MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Aviation Electrical Technician to join our team in Panama City, FL. This is an onsite position.This position offers the opportunity to work hands-on with mission-critical aviation related technology in dynamic environments, supporting the readiness and operational capability of naval weapon system assets. This work supports the U.S. Navy Landing Craft and Air Cushion Connector Ship-to- Shore (LCAC SSC) Legacy at the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) as part of a depot repair, refurbishment, craft operation and maintenance team.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Assemble and install equipment requiring simple wiring, soldering, or connecting electrical components while following detailed procedures to include replacement of components and wiring circuitsRepair simple electrical/electronic equipmentTake test readings using common precision measuring instruments (digital multi-meters and/or signal generators)Inspecting, testing, repairing, and maintaining electronic components and systems within aviation related equipmentReading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematicsDocumenting maintenance and repair actions in accordance with standard proceduresConducting performance checks and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standardsUtilizing specialized testing equipment and software toolsAdhering to all safety protocols and operational regulationsTravel up to 10% within the United StatesMinimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent education1+ years of experience assembling or installing equipment or parts requiring simple wiring, soldering, or connectingBasic understanding of a variety of hand tools such as digital multi-meters and signal generatorsDemonstrated experience working with components and wiring circuitsProficiency in interpreting electronic schematics and technical documentationPreferred Qualifications:Associate’s degree in electronics, avionics, or related fieldFormal military electrical / electronics training or certification (e.g., Navy/USAF avionics school)Experience with rotary- or fixed-wing aircraft systemsFamiliarity with military standards for aircraft systemsClearance Requirements:Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret security clearanceMust obtain an interim secret security clearance before startingPhysical Requirements:Must be able to work in confined spaces and at heights as requiredFrequently lifts, moves, or carries up to 50 poundsRequires frequent standing, walking, bending, and kneeling during inspections and repairsMust be able to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors in operational settings
