Engineering Research Shop - Trainee

This classification requires on-the-job training andperformance of diverse assignments in the researchand development shop for the purpose of acquiringtraining and experience to satisfactorily perform thedistinguishing requirements of the followingclassification: ADP Laboratory Mechanic. Thecandidate is expected to perform such related dutiesas: blue print reading and analysis, create lay-ups,must be able to work with hand tools, toolingexperience, some machine shop experience, and mustbe able to interpret engineering sketches. Engineering Research Shops Trainee (RP 4054) Standing: Requires full time standing with limitedresting periods and to walk distances. Sit for extendedperiods if required.
